Rev Tommy MacNeil
Tommy has been the minister of Martin’s Memorial for the last seventeen years. During this time they have seen significant growth, especially through their youth and schools and community work undertaken through The Shed Project. Tommy has always had a heart for God’s purposes in Scotland. He was part of the leadership team of C.L.A.N. Gathering (Christians Linked Across the Nation); served on the Scottish Council of Evangelical Alliance; and is a former Trustee of The Scottish Bible Society. He has been blessed with opportunities to preach and teach all over Scotland, the UK, and internationally.
Tommy is the Chair of Hebrides Alpha Project, a residential rehab based in the Isle of Lewis. He is the former Convenor of the Recruitment Task Group within The Church of Scotland and is a part time lecturer with Highland Theological College where he teaches on Evangelism. He has recently taken up the role of Convener of the Faith Action Programme Leadership Team, a new and innovative team tasked with seeking God to give focus and direction to the Church of Scotland for the next few years. Tommy wrote Sleeping Giant in 2020 which is ‘A call to the church to awake and arise!’ God is using this book to awaken His people to the greater future we have in Him. He and Donna are blessed with 2 married children and one utterly adored grand daughter.
Rev Kenny Borthwick
Rev Kenny Borthwick is a well known and much loved Church of Scotland minister. Among many other things he headed up New Wine in Scotland and was part founder and chairman of the national ministry “Clan Gathering” (Christians Linked Across the Nation). Kenny had a radical encounter with God as His Abba Father, and ministers and imparts that revelation to others. God has given him a voice into the nation through his blog which is a blessing to many. Kenny has a wealth of knowledge and experience and ministers in a prophetic manner each time he speaks.
Donna MacNeil
​Donna is a passionate lover of Jesus, His people, and His church. Married to Tommy she has partnered with him for over 20 years in their ministry together, fulfilling various leadership roles in different ministries and especially in the early development of youth work in The Shed Project. Donna brings a heart of love and excellence to everything she does. She also has a visionary heart that along with a passion to see pastors and spouses supported, she formed the charity ESPS Ministries (Encouraging Scottish Pastors and Spouses) which encouraged and blessed leaders and spouses through prayer, personal support, and regional and national conferences for over five years. Excitedly, at the start of 2023 Donna was appointed to the role of Ministry Support Worker in Martin’s Memorial where she serves and teaches alongside Tommy and Kenny. Donna carries a heart and hunger to see a revived church, nation, and nations. She and Tommy are blessed with 2 married children and one utterly adored grand daughter.
